Everyone my son and I encountered was pleasant and friendly. My 16 year old son had to take the driver's test and of course very nervous.... the lady that took him on his drive was absolutely wonderful! Very happy with our experience!
What a nice experience at the DMV today. Not at all like it used to be years ago. Every person was courteous and helpful and everything moved along smoothly. From being greeted and guided before even entering and then the same from everyone inside. Julie was doing a great job of keeping things moving and addressing the miscellaneous tasks flowing through the office on her side.
I went here with my Mom who is in her 80s to do some title work. The person at the door was pleasant and directed us to the right line. We waited just a few moments and an employee Rob came up to us because he saw my Mom was using a walker. He was able to get her a chair and help us out. Rob was so nice and helpful. My Mom actually had fun at the DMV! Rob was a car guy so the time went quickly. Cashier was pleasant, fast, and efficient. Thank you Woodstock SOS, don't change a thing!
I used to love this location. It was easy to get in and out with minimal problems. So much for that! This appointment thing is a royal pain. Use the website every says. There is only one day available for the next two weeks on the website. You have to call the morning of the day you want to go to get in. Then my REAL ID from another state is not ID!! What is the point of it?? My son used his! I'm required to bring all my documents again?? You can't even get just a DL anymore. I went with my Real ID, SS card, two forms of residency and a credit card for proof of signature. No...I need my birth certificate and marriage license again.... because I didn't do that to get the first Real ID!!
they are rude. they do not know how to communicate with people. the lady who served me was very rude. discrimination is felt. I discussed me with my partner by my side, but I heard everything. This is the second time I've been here and the second time such an attitude! these people are simply not satisfied with their life and work. management should conduct training with employees. my mood and my condition are very bad. I will never go here again. friends, if you want to keep your nerves healthy and have a good mood, choose another location. never come here again
Not sure if he still works there but in 2019 the guy taking my driver's license ID photo wouldn't let me leave until I smiled for the photo. Not sure why he did this seeing as it's not a legal requirement? Only thinking of this now because I'm renewing my ID and I have to go in person to retake my awful photo instead of being able to just renew online with the same photo. Hopefully oversight on this has changed since then. Other than that it's a stereotypical DMV: rude employees, no guidance, getting shouted at for not moving fast enough, etc. Wait time wasn't too long though
BY APPOINTMENT ONLY online, at the moment it's 2+ weeks out. Employee out front says to book early the morning of, but people outside upset said there were no appointments when they checked this morning.
Update: the appointments for the day open at exactly 7am CST. If you look before then, it will say no appointments available.
Been to this location several times... Today's visit was by far the best. Was trying to title 2 antique cars and the paperwork was all over the place. The agent, Cindy, who was assisting me was extremely helpful in getting this done quickly.
